ACom6

Configuration with CMCtrl

The ACom can be configured directly in situ. You only have to connect the ACom with a
serial interface of your computer (via the interface cable which is part of this delivery) and
install the software CMCtrl. The configuration may even be conducted via remote control
over an ISDN-line. In order to do this, however, you have to assign an MSN (Multiple
Subscriber Number for the correct selection and identification of end devices) to the
ACom; otherwise, no phone connection with the ACom can be established. Once the
ACom can be identified by its individual MSN, you can contact and configure it from any-
where you like.

Remote configuration is possible with CMCtrl or the programme CMConnect.

Installation of Programme

Whether you want to configure the ACom in situ or by remote control, you have to use
the programme CMCtrl (part of the extent of delivery) which must first be installed on
your computer. The programme has been designed for the operating system Windows
95/98/NT.

Instructions for the use of the graphic operating interfaces of Windows and for
the installation of programmes are contained in the information packs of Win-
dows 95/98/NT or on-line under Help (press F1 on your keyboard).

Attention!

Install any version of CMCtrl including updates and supplements only with the
assistance of an installation programme. Upon installation always use the same
target directory.

In the course of the installation you will be requested to select the language for both in-
stallation programme and programme interface of CMCtrl. You can change the language
of the programme interface at a later stage within CMCtrl.

• Switch on your computer and start Windows 95/98/NT.

• Close all other applications (programmes).

• Insert the installation discette in the floppy disc drive.

• Click Start and select the option Run on the menu.
