3.2.1 REPEATER INSTALLATION CHECKLIST

Installation Location Requirement

Considerations

Working Space available

Ample space on mounting pole or wall surface
Recommended space: 800mm x800mm x800mm

VAC power:
176 – 264 / 47 – 63Hz

Power cord length is no less than 2m

use a dedicated

AC breaker or fuse circuit, and with good access to an
earthing point.

-48VDC

Power cord length is no less than 1.5m with CSA of
2.5mm

Adjustable range: -72VDC to -36VDC.
The output current should be greater than 10A.

There are three
power supply options
at each installation
location:

+24VDC

Power cord length is no less than 1.5m with CSA of
2.5mm

Adjustable range: +22VDC to +30VDC.

The output current should be greater than 20A.

EMC and interference

Do not locate near large transformers or motors that may
cause electromagnetic interference.

Maintain distance from enclosure to DT, MT
antennas

Reduce of signal loss in feeder cable

Suitable operating environment

-40°C to +55°C and maximum 95% relative humidity.

3.2.2 ANTENNA INSTALLATION CONSIDERATION

Locate donor antenna in a site to receive the
maximum signals from the desired BTS and to
shield the other signals at the same time.

Field intensity of receiving site: Typical mobile phone test

Locate the mobile antenna in the center of signal
coverage area

Isolation of donor antenna and mobile antenna

repeater in operation
