Usage Guidelines

The

show interfaces capabilities

command with different keywords has these results:

•

Use the

show interface capabilities module

to display the capabilities of all interfaces on the

switch. Entering any other number is invalid.

•

Use the

show interfaces

interface-id

capabilities

to display the capabilities of the specified

interface.

•

Use the

show interfaces capabilities

(with no module number or interface ID) to display the

capabilities of all interfaces on the switch.

•

Use the

show interface switchport module

to display the switch port characteristics of all

interfaces on the switch. Entering any other number is invalid.

Expressions are case sensitive. For example, if you enter

| exclude output

, the lines that contain

output

are not displayed, but the lines that contain

are displayed.
