Configuring Tunnels
To configure an IPv6 tunnel:
STEP 1
Click
IP Configuration > IPv6 Management and Interfaces > IPv6 Tunnel.
STEP 2
Enter the
ISATAP
parameters.
•
ISATAP Solicitation Interval
—The number of seconds between ISATAP router
solicitations messages, when no active ISATAP router is discovered. The interval can
be the
Default Value
or a
User Defined
interval.
•
ISATAP Robustness
—Used to calculate the interval for router solicitation queries. The
bigger the number, the more frequent the queries. The interval can be the
Default Value
or a
User Defined
interval
NOTE
The ISATAP tunnel is not operational if the underlying IPv4 interface is not in
operation.
NOTE
Manual and 6to4 tunnels are only relevant for the SG350XG/SX350X device and the Sx550
family of devices. For these devices the page displays the
IPv6 Tunnel Table
which displays
and enables to create and configure IPv6 tunnels (see steps below).
The Sx350 and Sx350X support only ISATAP tunnels. For these devices the ISATAP tunnel is
configured by clicking the
Create ISATAP Tunnel
button and entering information for the
Source IPv4 Address
and
ISATAP Router Name
fields. See the following explanations for
these fields.
