Short timeout:

 

indicates the Server waiting time for interrogation of the devices after 
these  have  not  responded  on  at  least  three  consecutive  occasions.  
A value for this parameter ensures that the cycle time is not extended 
excessively  when  there  is  a malfunction  on  the  line or  in  one of  the 
field devices. 

 

Pre tx delay:

 

Server waiting time before interrogating a device. This value must be 
very  small  so  as  not  to  lose  valuable  time  but  long  enough  to  allow 
even slow devices to follow the communications. A value of 4mS is a 
good compromise and should not be changed.  

 

Line release time: 

input time interval for a control panel or other supervision software. If 
this  value  were  set  above  2sec  it  would  only  result  in  lost  time  and 
longer cycle times 

 

Line ack timeout: 

time  available  for  the  control  panel  to  take  possession  of  the  serial 
line.  

 

Recovery line time:

 maximum  silence  time  accepted  by  the  server  when  waiting  for  the 

control  panel.  After  this  period  of  inactivity  the  server  will 
automatically re-take control.  

 

Line error calc thr:

  threshold  for  calculating  the  error  rate:  this  value  indicates  the 

number  of  transactions  analysed  before  indicating  an  error  on  the 
line. 

 

Max line error thr:

  indicates  the  minimum  number  of  transactions  that  must  have 

occurred:  if  the  activity  does  not  at  least  reach  the  indicated  server 
threshold it will be suspended for the indicated 

Line restart time

 so 

as  to  free  the  traffic  on  the  same  line.  When  using  a  serial  or  fibre 
optic line this function is not necessary. Disable it by setting the value 
to a very low number. 

 

Line restart time:

 

time  to  restart  the  server  when  it  has  been  stopped  by  excessive 
errors on the line controlling the field devices. 

Each of the parameters can assume a value between 1 and 255. Each value is accessible using 
the indicated command with the value in round parentheses. 
 
 

#ct1, #ct2… 

Sets  the  management  timeout  for  the  serial  lines.  Each  of  the  parameters  can assume a  value 
between 1 and 255:

Unfortunately, it is not possible cancel a command once it has been sent. If an error is made it is 
enough  to  re-enter  the  #  character  followed  by  the  new  command.  When  entering  the  first  # 
character it will be ignored by the server.
