WHEELS AND TIRES
Push first bead into w ell of rim and
onto rim as far as possible. U sin g
stra ig h t end of tool (w ith stop resting
on rim flange) take small bites to
work remaining section of first bead
onto rim.
Hold second bead in w ell by standing
on tire and anchor w ith vise-grip
pliers (snub side toward tire ). U sin g
sp o o n end o f tir e to o l w ith sto p
toward rim, use sm all bites until bead
slips over flange. I f necessary, insert
second tire tool and lubricate la st 6"
of bead before com pleting m ounting.
Inflate tire to recommended pressure.
Exam ine valve assem bly occasionally
to avoid leaks.
Stand assem bly in vertical position.
Lubricate second bead. A t top of a s
sem bly insert stra ig h t end of tool be
tw een bead and back flange of rim at
about a 45° angle. Turn tool so th a t it
is perpendicular to rim. Pry second
bead off.

Hold tool in position with one foot and
pull second tool toward center o f rim.
P rogressively work bead off rim, tak
ing additional bites if necessary.
M O U N T IN G
Be sure righ t valve is used and is
properly installed in the rim. Inspect
rim to insure bead sea ts are clean and
smooth. Then place rim on floor w ith
wide side down and lubricate first bead
of tire and upper bead seat of rim.
D E M O U N T IN G
Deflate tire. W ith tire ly in g flat, loosen
both beads by w alkin g on tire w ith
heels close to rim. W ith wide side of
rim down, lubricate top bead. W ith
stops toward rim, in sert spoon ends
of both tools about 10" apart. Holding
bead in w ell w ith foot, pull one tool
toward center o f rim.
