Hold Time and Rest Time
The initial Hold time will begin when the maximum force has
been achieved (at the end of the Ramp up time). During the
Hold time, the maximum force you set will be held. During
the Rest time, the lesser force you set will be held. (You will
set forces and total treatment time on a subsequent screen).
During treatment, the traction force will cycle back and forth
between maximum and lesser forces at the frequency that
you set on this screen. Select Hold and Rest times by pressing
the up and down arrow icons. You can set both minutes and
seconds. Minutes are set by pressing the up and down arrows
to the left of the colon (:). Seconds are set by pressing the
up and down arrows to the right of the colon. The range is
1 second to 5 minutes, 55 seconds. After your first use, the
default will be whatever you selected on the last treatment
session. The minutes increase or decrease in one minute
increments with each press of the arrow icon. The seconds
increase or decrease in 5 second increments with each press
of the arrow icon. Holding the arrow icon causes a one unit
increment every second. If the arrow icon is held for five
consecutive seconds, the time will increment once every 1/2
second.
HOLD/REST SET SCREEN (FOR INTERMITTENT MODE ONLY)
The Hold/Rest Set Screen allows you to set the desired Hold
and Rest times for Intermittent mode. If you chose Static mode,
this screen does not appear.
Heading
The heading on this screen will correspond to the treatment
mode you previously selected (Cervical or Lumbar;
Intermittent).
