the "#" sign to disconnect (except when the single "*" or "#" is used
- *5 21,22).
Example: To use "*89" as the global connect code and "#89"
as the global disconnect code, enter:
*7 (tone) O (tone) 89 (tone)
6.6.3 Special Connect Code (*7 1)
This code has three features which modify the normal Connect Code sent
by the mobile. Each is explained in it´s own paragraph below. In all
cases, the Special Connect Code is sent directly in front of the
normal Connect Code. For example, using the factory settings for the
two codes, the mobile operator wouid send "*37 *73" to utilize a
Special Connect Code feature. Because the Special Connect Code starts
with a "*", it isn't available when the single tone "*" is used as the
normal Connect Code.
Toll Restriction Bypass - This code will allow users which know
the Special Connect Code to defeat the programmed toll
restrictions for one call only. Toll restriction is
automatically rearmed for the next call upon disconnect. To
enable Toll Restriction Defeat, switch *5 20 should be turned
on. If a toll call override isn't desired turn *5 20 off.
Phone Line In Use Detector - This code will allow a mobile
originated call to break into a call already in progress. This
could be the case when the interconnect shares a line with an
active phone. Switch *5 44 should be off if it is desired to
prevent mobiles from breaking into calls. To interrupt a call
in progress oniy when the Special Connect Code is sent, turn
switch *5 44 is on. Note that if jumper JMP1 is cut, all mobile
calls will break into a call in progress, even without the
Special Connect Code.
The Special Connect Code controls the two outputs "CTRL 1" and
"CTRL 2". See the section describing these outputs for more
information on them.
Program this exactly as the Connect Code in *7 0. To program 38 as
the Special Connect Code, enter:
*7 (tone) 1 (tone) 38 (tone)
6.6.4 Functions (*7 2,3)
The control Function outputs are available at the back connector TB1-
17 and TB1-18. These Functions have no predetermined use in the SDI-
50's normal operation and are provided for customized applications.
These Functions can be turned ON and OFF by DTMF command from the
mobile operator. To use these Control Function
