C.E.S. Model SDI-50 Manual, Level Adjustments
6.4.1 Sample Rate______(*1 0)
For simplex operation oniy. The sample rate is the rate at which the
interconnect unkeys the transmitter and checks for mobile activity.
This value should be set to your liking, keeping in mind that the
mobile cannot "capture" the interconnect until a sample window occurs,
and may be modified by codes *5 23 and *5 24. This function is
programmed in 0.1 second steps by entering a three digit multiplier.
Example: If you wished to set this value at 1.5 seconds
enter the following sequence:
*1 (tone) O (tone) 015 (tone)
6.4.2 Sample Window (*1 1)
For simplex operation only. The sample window is the length of time
the transmitter is unkeyed allowing the receiver to determine the
presence of a mobile carrier. The sample window should be set as short
as possible while still allowing the mobile to capture the
interconnect on a weak signal. The function is programmed in 2 ms.
steps by entering a three digit multiplier.
Example: 010 wouid give 20ms (10 X 2ms = 20ms), and 100 wouid
give 200 ms. To set the sample window to lOOms. enter the
following:
* 1 (tone) 1 (tone) 050 (tone)
6.4.3 Repeater Time-Out Timer (*1 2)
For duplex operation only. This function is used to control the
repeater use time. Up to 4 minutes and 10 seconds can be used. This
function is programmed in 1 second steps by entering a 3 digit
multiplier.
Example: To set the time out for 3 minutes:
*1 (tone) 2 (tone) 180 (tone)
6.4.4 Repeater PTT Hang Time (*1 3)
For duplex operation only. The hang time is the amount of time the
repeater remains keyed after mobile carrier ceases. This function is
programmed in 0.1 second steps by entering a 3 digit multiplier.
Example: To set the PTT hang time to 3 seconds:
*1 (tone) 3 (tone) 030 (tone)
