6.5.23 Mute on Pulse Dialing (*5 40)
This switch mutes receive audio into the phone line when the mobile
first originates a call. If the interconnect is going to be used in
the pulse dialing mode, then this switch may need to be turned on.
Some exchanges will accept both Tone or Pulse dialing. Allowing the
DTMF tone to be interrupted by the pulses will cause unreliable
dialing. The mobile´s carrier is monitored to determine when dialing
is completed and un-mute the Receive Audio.

When selective signalling is used, some systems may require a "*" tone
to be sent before the mobile ID number. If this switch is turned on,
the SDI-50 will automatically inserí a "*" before the overdialed
mobile number.
