NOTE
•
W hen “A u to” is selected for the w hite b alance setting, the
camera a u tomatically determines the w hite point of the
s ub ject. Certain s ub ject colors and light so u rce conditions
can ca u se pro b lems w hen the camera tries to determine
the w hite point, w hich makes proper w hite b alance
adj u stment impossi b le. If this happens, select the w hite
b alance setting that matches yo u shooting conditions
(Daylight, O v ercast, etc.)

Yo u can u se the key c u stomization feat u re to config u re the

W
] and [
X
] bu ttons so they control the w hite b alance
setting (page 145).

To select “A u to” w ith the control key ( w hen the control key
is config u red to select the a u to w hite b alance setting),
scroll thro u gh the settings u ntil “ ” appears on the
monitor screen.
