Movie Cropping

With RF or EF lenses, movies can be cropped around the center of the

image, as if using a telephoto lens.

Shooting movies with EF-S lenses has the same effect as this movie

cropping feature.

Select [

1: Movie cropping].

Select [Enable].

The center area is magnified.

L8X

L7W

L7X

and High Frame

Rate movies cannot be shot with movie cropping.

The center of the screen is further cropped, reducing the shooting area,

when

1: Movie digital IS]

is set to

[Enable]

[Enhanced]

The shooting area available with movie cropping is the same as when

shooting movies with EF-S lenses.

4K movies are always shot with the center of the shooting screen

cropped, and enabling

[

1: Movie cropping]

does not change the

shooting angle of view.
