Connect the USB cable to the printer and then connect it to the computer.

Connect the power cord then attach the stacker.

Press main power switch to the on position (|).

If you switch the printer on with the PHS stopper set at the Transport position, the ERROR
lamp on the printer will light and the Status Monitor will issue a Service Call error (28*2) to
alert you that an unrecoverable error has occurred. Switch the main power switch off, move
the PHS stopper to the Operate position, then turn the main power switch on.

When the
STANDBY lamp lights to indicate normal operation mode, open the
feeder cover and load paper.

Adjust the Printhead Position.
●
Never touch the feeder lift tray while it is moving, and never place your hand under
the tray. This could damage the printer or cause personal injury.
●
You do not need to remove the ink cartridges before you move or ship the printer. If
you remove the ink cartridges before you move the printer, ink could leak from the
pins in the slots and cause stains to your clothing or inside the printer.
