Jam inspection in Finisher
To detect whether there is paper or not, or whether the paper can properly be fed or not, the
followings are the detection sensor for paper.
• Inlet Sensor (PS3).
• Shift Unit Sensor (PS4).
• Upper Delivery Sensor (PS5).
• Lower Delivery Sensor (PS6).
• Buffer Path 1 Sensor (UN13)
• Buffer Path 2 Sensor (UN14).
• Lower Path Sensor (UN22)

Whether jam is occurred or not, determined by whether there is paper or not in the sensor
area by the time of timing check that memorized in advance by Finisher Controller PCB.
When Finisher Controller PCB detected jam, it will break feeding/delivery movement through
Stitcher Controller PCB. And at the same time inform the connection machines about the jam
occurrence.
