Once these settings have been applied, the CRVW3 will restart and the
calibration functionality will be operational. To perform a calibration, use the
Calibration Wizard. This is found in the
Datalogger
menu of the
Connect
Screen
application in
LoggerNet
.

You may disregard the discussion of the
FieldCal
CRBasic
instruction in this
documentation. However, the process of manual calibration described in those
sections can be performed using the
Public
table of the CRVW3.
The
Use Baseline Offsets
setting enables engineering output to be adjusted
using stored baseline values (datum or zero-condition readings). Baseline
values for frequency, temperature, and pressure will be stored via the
Calibration Wizard where applicable and used for output calculations. The
offset value is subtracted from the calculated value to obtain the final output.
The
Use Ambient Pressure Correction
setting controls whether engineering
output will be adjusted using the current atmospheric pressure value that is
stored in certain variables in the
Public
table of the CRVW3. The public
variable’s value will be subtracted from the calculated engineering result to
give the final engineering output.
The public variables used are shown in this table:

When the
Pressure_All
variable is used (i.e. set to a non-zero value), all
enabled channels will use that value. If
Pressure_All
is left at zero, the values
given for individual channels will be used.
It will be necessary to set the values of these variables from an
external datalogger (such as a CR1000) that has measured the
current atmospheric pressure. The datalogger should use the
SendVariables
PakBus instruction or similar in its CRBasic
program to accomplish this.
