Vertex Configuration Tool (VCT)
After hardware installation, use the Vertex Configuration Tool (VCT) to set the necessary parameters
specific to your network.
Note: Turn off any 3rd party firewalls before VCT installation.
Depending on your Internet Brower, download and install the latest version from:
www.VCT.CallerID.com
or
https://secure.callerid.com/vct/
1. Make sure that the PC you are running VCT on is connected to the same subnet as the
Vertex. Upon launching, VCT will send a UDP broadcast command on the Network in an
attempt to communicate with the Vertex.
2. If VCT finds the Vertex, load the parameters from the unit.
If the unit is not
found
, try these troubleshooting tips:
•
Turn off any 3rd party firewalls running in the background and run VCT again. Or, set an
exception within the firewall for the application name,
VertexConfig.exe,
and/or
UDP Port
