2.7 Using the Ink Pens
2.7.1 Ink Pen Installation
1.
Prime each of the ink lines extending from the regulators to the ink
pens to clear air from the tubes (
follow Section 4.1.4 ).

The Ink Pen may arrive separately in two pieces: the ink pen and the
ink line. To attach the ink line to the ink pen, simply insert the round
end of the ink line into the ink pen opening until it has clipped into place
(as shown in
Figure 2-33
).

3.
Lift up the desired blue pen latch on the Apollo head.
4.
Insert the Ink Pen into the designated slot ( as shown in the upper pen
of
Figure 2-34
).
5.
Press down on the pen latch until it has snapped on top of the ink pen
(
shown in the lower pen of
Figure 2-34
).
6.
Connect the ink line from the ink pen to the regulators ( follow Section
2.7.2 to learn how to use the Quick Disconnects ).
Note: Too much air in the ink pen can potentially damage it or cause ink to leak out. Follow
the step-by-step instructions to prime the ink line (Section 4.1.4).
