Gas Fittings

7.2

Gas Bottles

The gas pressure regulator reduces the gas pressure in the gas bottle down to the operating pres-
sure of the gas units.

If 2 gas bottles are used at the same time:

Connect a gas pressure regulator fitted with an automatic switchover device.

V

Gas bottles are only to be transported within the designated gas bottle compartment.

V

Secure gas bottles in the gas bottle compartment in a vertical position and so that
they are unable to turn.

V

Close the regulator tap on the gas bottle before the gas pressure regulator or gas
tube are removed from the gas bottle.

V

Use your hands only to connect the gas pressure regulator to the gas cylinder. Do not
use any tools.

V

Only use special gas pressure regulators with a safety valve designed for vehicle
use. Other gas pressure regulators are not permitted and cannot meet the demand-
ing requirements.

V

Use the gas pressure regulator defroster if the temperature falls below 5

°

C.

V

Use only 11 kg or 5 kg gas bottles! Camping gas bottles with a built-in reflux valve
(blue bottle with max. 2.5 or 3 kg content) are permitted in exceptional cases with a
safety valve.

V

Use the shortest possible tube lengths (150 cm max.) for external gas bottles.

V

Check the gas tube regularly for wear and tear. Observe the replacement date.

V

When aluminium gas bottles are used, never block the floor ventilation openings be-
low the gas bottles.

V

With some models, the gas bottle compartment is located right next to the conversion
door. With these models, only open the gas bottle compartment when the conversion
door is closed. Danger from damages.

V

Connections on the gas pressure regulator have left-handed threads.

V

For gas-operated units the gas pressure must be reduced to 30 mbar.

V

Connect gas pressure regulator complete with safety valve directly to bottle valve.

V

Information available at the Bürstner service centre.

V

For filling and connecting the gas bottles in Europe the Bürstner accessories shops
have corresponding Euro filling sets and Euro bottle sets.

V
