SAS and SATA Ports

SATA Ports

There are ten Serial ATA Ports (I-

SATA0 ~I- SATA 5) located on the

serverboard, including eight SATA2

ports (I-SATA2~5, S-SATA0~3) and two

SATA3 ports (I-SATA0~1). See the

table on the right for pin definitions

SAS Ports

Eight Serial Attached SCSI Por ts (SAS

0~3, 4~7) are provided on the R423-

E3 to provide serial link connections.

These ports are supported by the Intel

C602 PCH. See the table on the right

for pin definitions
