Once the device is properly connected, a ready message displays indicating
the Control Unit is ready (see Figure 21).

Turn on the drug and coolant pumps, and set the specified flow rate per the
physician’s orders and within the flow rates specified in the EkoSonic™
Device Instructions for Use.
6.
Secure the housing end of the Connector Interface Cable near the patient
using standard hospital practices.
WARNING
! Secure device cables and the Connector Interface Cable
using standard practices to preserve the integrity of the
device, minimize device movement at the insertion site, and
prevent device dislodgement. If the Connector Interface
Cable is dropped, it has sufficient weight to pull on the
device and possibly dislodge it from where it has been
inserted into the patient.
