What to do
3-1-2-2. White Ink Pause Mode
When the printer is operated using only color ink and the white ink is not to be used for prolonged periods of time, the
printer should be set to run on white ink pause mode. For details of relevant operation, refer to "7-3. What to do in the
White Ink Pause Mode" and "7-5. When Not Using for a Long Period of Time" within the Instruction Manual, and "7-2.
When Not Using for a Long Period of Time" within the Adjustment Instructions.
Supplemental descriptions for the White Ink Pause Mode are given in this section.
White Ink Pause Mode refers to the function for replacing the white ink within the head and tubes with maintenance
solutions while omitting some of the maintenance procedures when the ink is not to be used for prolonged periods of
time.
The following should be noted:
The maintenance solution introduced into the white ink cartridge is gradually consumed even though only
color printing is used with the printer set to White Ink Pause Mode.
If the pouch containing the maintenance solution becomes empty, this results in an error. Please replace the
maintenance solution pouch.
Check the waste ink tank on a regular basis and dispose of any waste ink before the tank overflows.
The following are examples of functions terminated while printer is set to White Ink Pause Mode.
Regular circulation operation for the white ink tube.
Terminal cleaning operation upon powering off.
Regular indication of message prompting for the agitation of the white ink cartridge.
Indication of the warning / error messages prompting for the replacement of the flushing foam on the
