CHECK CRANKSHAFT – ALL MODELS

Shown below are the reject sizes of the various wear
points of the crankshaft. Fig. 1 shows the various
points to be checked on the crankshaft. Discard
crankshaft if worn or scored. Keyways should be
checked to be sure they are not worn or spread.
Remove burrs from keyway edges to prevent scratch-
ing the bearing. Check oil galleries (passages) for
blockage or obstructions on pressure lube crankshaft.
