The basic settings in the RDP view are:
Return Data Path & record
Source
interface:
The source interface drop-down menu allows selection of
available input signals. Note that ETR290 analysis of a
demodulated signal should be locked (round-robin looping
disabled) to obtain a continuous stream for ASI and RF signals.
Content:
When Ethernet input is selected the user selects the stream to
forward or record. Ethernet streams being joined/monitored by
the probe are available for selection.
When any other source interface than Ethernet is specified, the
user selects the service to be relayed to a specified IP-address,
or alternatively selects that the complete stream should be
forwarded. The PIDs associated with the service are
automatically displayed in the 'Selected PIDs' field, and these
may be edited if required.
Selected PIDs:
When ASI or a demodulator input is selected the user can
specify the PIDs to be forwarded. Typically PAT and PMT PIDs
should be forwarded in addition to video and audio PIDs,
however this depends on the equipment receiving the
forwarded stream. When this field has been edited, click the
Modify
button for the changes to take effect.
Destination:
For Ethernet input select
Record
to enable transport stream
recording or
Relay
to forward a stream to another destination.
For other interfaces only relay mode is selectable. The GUI will
change to enable user selection of relevant parameters for the
different modes of operation.
The
Stream info
field displays the following information if an Ethernet stream
selected for relaying or recording:
Stream info
Name:
The stream name
Src address:
The source IP-address and port number of the multicast
Src mac:
The source MAC address
Mapping:
The current mapping of TS-data
Bitrate:
The current bitrate of the multicast
CC errors:
The number of CC errors counted for the multicast
(corresponding to the figure in the
Mon - Parameters
view)
IAT average:
The average Inter-packet Arrival Time for the multicast
(corresponding to the figure in the
Mon - Parameters
view)
