Events / message types
Part 6: Troubleshooti
ng
6.1 Events / message types
All important events or messages that exist for a compressed airnet are shown
in the event display (see „Event display“, page 50). Likewise, the last 10 unac-
knowledged events from all compressed airnets can be called up for quick infor-
mation via the line symbol (4), which is available in all view levels (see „Fig.
4.2:“, page 30). However, it is only possible to edit, i.e. acknowledge, the events
/ messages for this or all compressed airnets in the event display of a com-
pressed airnet.
A distinction was made between the 4 event types, see also page 50:
– Internal system message
– Information message
– Warning / Service message
– Fault
In addition to these event types, it is also important to distinguish where the
event occurs. This is illustrated on the one hand by the indication of the
"Source" in the event display, on the other hand by the unique "Error No.".
Depending on the range of numbers, you can limit where exactly the message
was generated:
– Numbers
< 500
: The message originates from a lower-level controller or a
Modbus interface module.
– Numbers from
500 to 699
: The message comes directly from
airtelligence
provis 3
.
Depending on where the message comes from, the procedure for processing
the messages differs.
Process events / mes-
sages
The following procedure is recommended when an event occurs that causes
one of the message types to occur
in slave controls
or modules
(Error No. <
500):
1. Call up event information using the line symbol (on all view levels) or
directly in the affected compressed airnet with the event display.
2. Locate and rectify the cause of the message on the affected component
(compressor / receiver / equipment), if necessary also by BOGE service
personnel.
The necessity to acknowledge warnings / maintenance messages and
faults, i.e. to confirm the proper status after a problem has been solved, is
necessary
and much more important than acknowledging system-internal
messages or information messages, since these message types are not
based on events causing the problem.
CAUTION
Danger of material damage!
Troubleshooting (including service and repair work) by unauthorized or
unqualified personnel can damage or destroy components of a compressed
airnet.
Faults and problems may only be rectified by authorized specialist per-
sonnel or BOGE service personnel.
In cases of doubt please contact BOGE service beforehand.
