Other Methods of Accessing the Web Manager

Other Methods of Accessing the Web Manager

You can access the Web Manager using one of the following methods.

Note:

The following methods require additional setup and configuration, which
could be specific to your site’s network configuration.

•

Using DHCP

•

Using the default IP address

To Use a Dynamic IP Address to Access the
Web Manager

This procedure assumes that DHCP is enabled, and that you are able to obtain
the dynamic IP address that is currently assigned to CS.

Mount the BLACK BOX® CS.

Connect computers and other devices to be managed through the CS.

Power on the CS and connected devices.

Obtain the CS’s current IP address.

Enter the CS’s IP address in the browser’s Address window.

To Use the Default IP Address to Access the Web
Manager

The default IP address for the CS is

192.168.160.10.

This procedure

assumes that you are able to temporarily change the IP address of a computer
that is on the same subnet as the CS.

On a computer that resides on the same subnet as the CS, change the
network portion of the IP address of that computer to

192.168.160

For example, you could change the computer’s IP address to

192.168.160.44

. For the host portion of the IP address, you can use

any number except
