7) EARLY DECELERATION
Visually apparent gradual decrease
(onset to nadir is ≥ 30 sec.) of FHR below baseline. Return to
baseline associated with a uterine contraction. Nadir of deceleration occurs at the same time as the
peak of the contraction. Generally, the onset, nadir, and recovery of the deceleration occur at the
same time as the onset, peak and recovery of the contraction.
