100R INA and 100 DCD Modules

Overview

4

The 100R INA module combines the functioning of the 100 DS1 module, data
routing, and a channel service unit (CSU). Using a T1 or PRI interface, the
100R INA module gives the MERLIN MAGIX Integrated System fast access to
the Internet without having to use an external CSU.

100DCD Module

4

Available in third quarter, 2000 for Release 1.5 of the MERLIN MAGIX system
is a 100 DCD module that has a built-in channel service unit (CSU) and data
service unit (DSU). Using this module eliminates the need to attach an external
CSU/DSU, thereby allowing easier routing of calls.

The 100 DCD module has the same signaling modes as previous 100 DS1
modules, including the ability to use T1 or PRI configuration. This new module
can be installed in both a metal and plastic carrier (by adding a clamshell).
