5.5.1.1 Functions
Switching the outputs
Depending on the counter value, output 1 and output 2 can be set automatically by the EL1502.
To switch the output allocated to the respective counter on or off
• use the following CoE settings:
- 0x80nn:01 [

130] = TRUE, if the output is to be switched on when the counter value (incremental
counting) reaches 0x80nn:11 [

• set Control.EnableOutputFunctions to TRUE
The output switches when the counter value is reached.
Counting direction inverted
With decremental counting the reverse switching action occurs when the value falls below the pa-
rameterized switching counter value from 0x80nn:11/12, i.e. output 1 is switched off if 0x80nn:01 =
TRUE and the value falls below 0x80nn:11.
Activating the output circuit
If the parameterized switching counter value from 0x80nn:11/12 has already been reached/ex-
ceeded and Control.EnableOutputFunctions is not set to TRUE, the switching task is not executed.
If Control.EnableOutputFunctions is then set to TRUE, the output is switched immediately.
Similarly, retrospective enabling of 0x80nn:01/02 immediately affects the output if the switching con-
dition is met.
Example of the logical "On" condition for output 1: Output 1 = (counter >= 0x80nn:11) and
(0x80nn:01 = TRUE) and (Control.EnableOutputFunctions = TRUE)
