5 Run Test Operation
5.1 Overview
From the
Run/Options
prompt, press the
<Enter>
key to begin a pH
measurement test for a platelet storage bag.
Next, the software displays a series of prompts to guide the user through the test
process. The sequence of steps to perform a pH measurement test are as
follows:
Security Access
Enter Platelet Storage Bag ID
Enter pHID
Measure pH
Save/Print Test Results
Automatic Ethernet Results Upload
These steps are described in detail in the following sections.
5.2 Security Access
When the
<Enter>
key is pressed from the
Run/Options
prompt to access the
Run Test
function the first prompt displayed will vary, depending on the
currently defined security access setting of the instrument. (Refer to Section
4.4.1, Security Access to ‘Run Test’, and Section 6.5.4, Enable User ID and PIN.)
Three security access settings are available for definition of the
Options / System
Settings / Enable User ID/PIN
parameter. The software functions as follows for
each parameter setting:
DISABLE ID & PIN
- When this setting is selected, no security access prompt is
displayed. Proceed to Section 5.3, Enter Platelet Storage Bag ID.
ENABLE ID ONLY -
When this setting is selected the user is required to input a
User ID before accessing the
Run Test
function. Proceed to Section 5.2.1,
Select/Enter User ID.
ENABLE ID & PIN -
When this setting is selected the user is required to input a
User PIN before accessing the
Run Test
function. Proceed to Section 5.2.2,
Enter User PIN.
5.2.1 Select/Enter User ID
If the currently defined setting of the
Options / System Settings / Enable User ID/
PIN
parameter is specified as
ENABLE ID ONLY,
the first prompt displayed when
the
Run Test
function is accessed will be:
> SELECT USER ID
ENTER USER ID
