System Settings
Use this function to access a menu of configuration functions.
Proceed as follows.
1. From the
Run/Options
prompt, press the
<Options>
key to enter the
Options Menu
. The screen updates to display access to the first function
available from the menu on the lower line of the screen.
2. From the
Options Menu
screen, use the
Up / Down Arrow
keys as necessary to
scroll the list until the

option is displayed on the lower
line of the screen.
3. Press the
<Enter>
key to select use of this function. If the use of a Supervisor
PIN is enabled proceed to Step 4. If a Supervisor PIN will not be required,
proceed to Section 6.5.1, System Menu.

4. If the
Options/System Settings/Set Master PIN
function is currently enabled
the following screen is displayed:
5. Type the appropriate 5 digit PIN value that has been previously assigned
(refer to Section 6.5.2, Supervisor PIN). If the PIN value is correct the screen
updates to display the
System Menu
. Proceed to Section 6.5.1, System Menu.
Incorrect PIN
6. If the entered PIN value does not match the currently defined Supervisor
PIN value, the following message is displayed:
From this screen press any key to proceed. The following prompt is displayed:
7. From this screen proceed as follows:
a. To re-enter the Supervisor PIN value, ensure the cursor (
>
) is positioned
on the top line pointing to
>RE-ENTER PIN
, then press the
<Enter>
key.
The display returns to the
ENTER SUPERVISOR PIN
screen.
b. If you do not know the correct Supervisor PIN and wish to override this
requirement, use the
Down Arrow
key to move the cursor to the lower line
so as to point to
>OVERRIDE PIN
, then press the
<Enter>
key. A message
similar to the following is displayed:
The Permit # is a randomly generated value, based on the current
instrument clock time. From this screen proceed as follows:

Leave the instrument in this state, showing the
Permit #
. Contact BCSI
Technical Support (refer to Section 8.1, BCSI Technical Support).
Using the
Permit #
value BCSI Technical Support will generate an
Override Code
for temporary use to access the
System Settings
functions.
