'4C Temp' as the Reference kind

The "4 C Temp" refers to the four fixed color tempera-
tures of the projector : 3200K, 4900K, 6500K and 9300K,
which can be selected in the projector menu "PICTURE
TUNING"

"COLOR BALANCE" (please refer to your

owner's manual of the projector). This reference kind
belongs to the same group as the 'C Temp' kind, the step
"Get reference" is also skipped.

Please note that if the reference kind is '4C Temp' , the
menus inside the dotted box on Page 2-9 will be changed
into that displayed on the right side.

When the '4C Temp' kind is selected, the ACTAS will
calculate the correct gains and cut-offs of the three
colors for the four fixed color temperatures in terms of
the picture tube characteristics. The new values will
overwrite the settings stored in the memory blocks of the
projector. To allow the ACTAS to make the right calcu-
lations the item Phosphor should be specified.

Specifying the phosphor type

(Only available in the "Advanced" menu style)

As explained in the above sections, if the 'C Temp' or '4C
Temp' is chosen as the reference kind, it is necessary to
specify the phosphor type used by the projector(s). This
is stored in the 'Setup' memory block under the item
"Phosphor".

There are three ways to specify the phosphor type:
Manual, Custom and Auto. All commonly used phos-
phor types can be selected manually: 7MS, 7MSP,
7MSPA, 7MFP, 9MSA, M180, T180, 2208, 2208EBU. If
"Auto" is selected, the ACTAS will use the "Proj type"
content to choose the corresponding phosphor type. If a
special tube set or additional color filtering is used,
setting "Phosphor" to 'Custom' allows you to enter the
color coordinates under Red x, Red y, Green x, Green
y, Blue x, Blue y.

To select a phosphor type :

<ENTER>

key to save the change. A

message will be displayed to report the saving pro-
cess. If the

<EXIT>

key is pressed, the changes will

be discarded. A message will be displayed to report
the reverting process.
