Safety and Maintenance
Service items not mentioned in this chapter
should all be performed by accredited or other
qualified technicians.
Safety Precautions
To avoid potential dangers, before starting
maintenance, please read the contents of this
section and confirm that you have the needed
tools and techniques.
●
Park the vehicle on flat ground, turn off the
engine, and apply the parking brake.
●
When cleaning parts, be sure to use
degreasing agents or parts cleaning agents sold
on the market. Use of gasoline is prohibited.
●
It is prohibited to put lit cigarettes, sparks or
open fires close to batteries or the relevant parts
of the fuel system.
●
When maintaining batteries or compressed air,
be sure to wear goggles and protective clothing.
Warning
Incorrect vehicle maintenance or driving
problematic vehicles may cause traffic
accidents, serious injury or even death.
Potential Vehicle Hazards
●
Carbon monoxide: The carbon monoxide of
the engine exhaust is a toxic gas. Be sure to
operate the engine in well-ventilated places.
●
Scalding: While at work, the engine, cooling
system and the exhaust system will generate
high temperatures, which can scald extremely
easily. Thus, wait approximately 30 minutes
after the vehicle has been turned off for the
engine, cooling system and the exhaust system
to cool down before touching the parts.
Caution
Only some important safety precautions are
listed in this section. We are unable to list all
of the dangers which you may come across
during your maintenance operations.
