Replacement of Bulbs
Usually, it is not possible to replace a bulb
without removing other parts of the vehicle.
This is particularly true for those bulbs which
can only be operated from inside the engine
compartment. Such work requires professional
skills.
Warning
Particular care should be exercised when
working on the engine compartment!
There is pressure in bulbs. During the
replacement, explosion may occur.—be
aware of injury!
Emergency Startup
If discharging makes it impossible to start the
engine, you may start it by using the battery of
another vehicle via a jumper cable. The
following points should also be observed:
●
The rated voltage of the power-supplying
batteries should be 12V and their capacity (Ah)
should not below that of the vehicle battery
which has discharged.
●
Only jumper cables with a sufficient cross
section can be used. Attention should be paid to
the instructions provided by the power cable
manufacturer.
●
Only jumper cables with an insulated
electrode holder should be used.

Warning
Absolutely do NOT charge frozen batteries.
This may cause explosions! Even if unfrozen,
acids may overflow when the battery is
charged, thus causing corrosive damage.
Frozen batteries must be replaced.
Caution
When starting the engine via jumper cables,
do NOT allow the two vehicles to come into
contact. Otherwise, once the positive poles of
the two batteries are connected, the current
is immediately connected, and danger may
occur.
