ANCHORING THE TGV TABLES

ACTION

DESCRIPTION

Check

levelling

Check that the machine is level along the Y axis by placing the

precision level halfway along the length of the Y axis re-circulating
ball bearing screw, or halfway along the length of one of the Y axis
linear guides.

Level

Act on the four adjustment screws (

2

) located at the extremities of the

table. Tighten or loosen the screws by 1/4 turn at a time.

Check

levelling

Check levelling along the Y axis to make sure that the table is perfectly
levelled along Y.

Check

levelling

Check levelling along the X axis by resting the precision level along
the shelf’s linear guides.

Level

Act on the four adjustment screws (

) located at the extremities of the

table. Always tighten or loosen one pair of opposite screws by 1/4 turn
at a time.

Anchor the

screws

Check levelling along the X axis to make sure that the table is
perfectly levelled along YX

Apply the

dowels

Measure the verticality between the X and Y axes. Anchor the base of
the comparator to the body of the electro-spindle. Rest the point of the
comparator against the table resting bars. Shift the Y axis to the two
extremities of its stroke and verify the verticality of the axes.
