5.13 Programming
5.13.1 Overview
This chapter deals with machine programming. The essential elements of this activity are the CN
numerical control and the software.
Machine programming comprises 3 steps.
STEP
FUNCTION
1 of 2
1
Programming machining.
Using the ISO (standard) programming or a CAM software (optional) the operator
running the machine creates a piece programme (PP) that contains all the machining to
be carried out on the piece.
This programming step may be easily carried out, whatever the specific user
requirements, using one of various systems:
ISO programming system (included in standard machine configuration)
This system uses all the parametric programmes (MACRO), created by BACCI:
tenon execution; mortising-boring; parting-boring; parting-milling-boring, etc.
One part of the system has therefore been customised to programme this machine.
All the information pertaining to these customisations are contained in this chapter.
For details regarding general CN programming, please consult the CN manual.
Self-learning system (included in standard machine configuration)
This system also uses all the parametric programmes (MACRO) created by BACCI:
tenon execution; mortising-boring; parting-boring; parting-milling-boring, etc.
For details regarding general programming, please consult the CN manual.
ALPHACAM (optional)
This commercial, high-flexibility software is dedicated to programming up to 5 axes,
starting from a drawing or a sample. Where this software is present, Paolino Bacci
provides a Post-Processor that has been specially designed to reach maximum
user-friendly production performance.
For details regarding programming, please consult the ALPHACAM manual.
PITAGORA (optional)
This software is an intelligent CAM system, very easy to use but powerful enough
for all machining requirements. This software was specially designed to programme
BACCI CNC work centres. For programming details, please consult the PITAGORA
manual.
