UPDATE THE SYSTEM BIOS

STEP 2. PREPARE AN ENVIRONMENT AND READY FOR BIOS UPDATE:
1.
The BIOS update procedure can not be interrupted, so the multi-task environment
like Windows is not recommended. You have to handle the BIOS update in the
DOS environment (
Do not
use the DOS opened in the window environment).
2.
Get a blank floppy diskette and put it into the floppy disc drive.
3.
Key-in the following DOS command to generate a diskette which you can use it
to boot up your PC system afterward:
FORMAT A:/S
4.
Copy the files which you downloaded from the web page as what was mentioned
in "STEP1".
STEP 3. START THE BIOS UPDATE PROCEDURE:
1.
Restart the PC system and get the PC system ready under the DOS prompt (you
may have to change the BIOS so that the PC system will boot from floppy drive.).
2.
Run the following command under the DOS prompt (A:>).
AWDFLASH.EXE 810DW.BIN
3.
When you see the display " Do you want to save BIOS?", you may select "Y" and
the program will make a backup copy of the system BIOS from your mainboard.
4.
If you do not want to make the backup copy of the system BIOS, simply click the
"N" key and then click the "ENTER" key.
5.
The PC system will ask whether you want to start the BIOS update procedure. If
you are sure everything is fine, then click on the "Y" key to start the BIOS
update. ( you may stop here to terminate the BIOS update operation).
6.
The message "Programming Flash Memory" will be display on the screen to
indicate the system BIOS is updating. ( from now on, you have to wait till the
operation is finished. Please do not terminate the operation!)
7.
When the BIOS updating is finished, you will see the message displayed on the
screen " RESET SYSTEM OR POWER OFF TO ACCOMPLISH UPDATE
