Rma Returns Process
The process below should be used to return any faulty equipment you have purchased from Avanti, you should
ensure that all other testing has been completed before requesting RMA returns numbers.
WHAT DO I NEED TO RETURN?
HUGHES ODU 1W KA BAND
Please return the complete unit including the feed horn attachment collar (not feed horn).
HUGHES IDU
Please return the complete unit
including power supply.
HUGHES POWER SUPPLY
Please return the complete unit
including
the Hughes terminal.
PRODELIN FEED HORN
Please return feed and the complete antenna unit.
ANTENNA 74/98cm
Please return the complete unit including feed horn.
WHAT SHOULD BE CHECKED BEFORE EQUIPMENT CAN BE SENT BACK TO AVANTI?
The engineer is to carry out following steps when troubleshooting at a service visit to ensure necessary steps are
taken before swapping out any equipment.
INITIAL CHECKS
1.
Check all connectors to ensure they meet the correct standard and the cable is not crossed. You can reverse the Rx/Tx
at both ends to check if the same result shows.
2.
Visually check the cable route for any damage/kinks
3.
Check configuration – GPS
4.
Check all connections are firmly seated and fitted correctly

RMA
checks

previous
section)
Partner
completes
RMA
form
and
sends
to
Avanti
will
send
RMA
Form
back
to
Partner
with
valid
RMA
reference.
Partner
to
send
equipment
back
to
Avanti
HQ
with
RMA
requisition
form
Avanti
Testing
is
carried
out
If
proven
faulty
replacement
equipment
is
sent
out
to
Partner
If
equipment
if
proven
to
be
working,
Avanti
will
return
the
equipment
back
to
the
Partner
Partner
will
be
charged
for
the
RMA
