Setting Media Length

Length of media is not important when programming in

Manual

mode as position of Tab or

Stamp from lead edge is what is used to determine piece length. In

Automatic

mode, piece

length can be programmed. See

Step 15 and 16

in

Loading Tabs (Head 1 or Head 2)

WARNING!

BEFORE LOADING TABS OR STAMPS, TURN OFF TABBER OR PRESS
EMERGENCY STOP BUTTON TO PREVENT TAB DRIVER ROLLER
FROM TURNING DURING LOADING PROCESS

1.

Remove Reel Side Guide and install Tab Roll with tabs unwinding face up from right
side of roll. Remove approximately 20 tabs from roll to create a leader.

2.

Thread leader over Reel Brake Roller.

3.

Thread leader over Idler Roller and then through Tab Sensor. Reposition Tab Guide,
(

located on Idler Roller

), to accommodate tab width.

4.

Continue threading leader around Tab Applicator Peel Point.

NOTE: Head 1 has two peel point positions, one for Side Tabbing and one for
End Tabbing and Stamp applications.

5.

Lift Press Roller Release Latch on Drive
Press Roller Assembly, then thread leader
between Drive Roller and Drive Press
Roller. Release Latch to bring Drive
Press Roller in contact with Drive Roller.

6.

Loop web over pegs in Take-up Reel.
