Keypad Controls and Menus

Memory Menu

Use the Memory option to view memory settings for the printer. The printer
uses the following types of memory.

Bitmap

- Bitmap memory is used to store images that have been sent to

the printer. This memory type is volatile memory; it is erased when the
printer is powered off.

Font

- Font memory is used to store fonts that have been sent to the

printer. This memory type is volatile memory; it is erased when the
printer is powered off.

Flash

- An external CompactFlash memory card can be used to store

images or fonts. This memory type is non-volatile; it remains saved
when the printer is powered off.

The type of memory used is determined by the host.

Total

To view the printer’s total amount of memory:

Press the MENU key. Use the arrow keys to select Memory from the
menu and then press the SELECT key.

In the MEM menu, use the arrow keys to select Total. The total amount
of memory will be displayed.
