7.6 Cabling Considerations

The BajaPPC-750 Ethernet interface complies with the IEEE P802.3u/D3 and ANSI
TP-PMD v2.0 UTP CAT 5 standards for Fast Ethernet. Since the 21143 LAN con-
troller can operate at up to 100 Mb/s, UTP CAT 5 (unshielded twisted pair, cate-
gory 5) cabling is highly recommended.
