Appendix B – Storage Procedure
There is a possibility that the flow of fluids could be impaired if fluids are allowed to sit in the lines for an extended period of
time. To maintain proper fluid flow, execute the following procedure before the instrument is allowed to sit unused for 2 weeks
or more.
1. Empty all chemical and enzyme containers and rinse with water.
2. Add 100 ml of Distilled Water to the chemical containers and 20 ml of Distilled Water to the enzyme containers.
3. Run the Line Charge ALL diagnostic to flush all supply lines. All of the water will run to waste.
4. Empty all chemical and enzyme containers.
5. Run the Line Charge ALL diagnostic to pump air into the supply lines to clear them. Any water in the lines will run to
waste.
6. To clear the remaining lines (from the manifold to waste), follow the steps below.
6.1 From the Motor Test diagnostic screen press the Amount button and set the number to 10.
6.2 From the Motor Test diagnostic screen press the Set Valves button.
6.3 From the Set Valves screen open the Water Supply and the Waste output and make sure that all other supplies and
outputs are closed.
6.4 From the Set Valves screen press the back button .
6.5 From the Motor Test diagnostic screen press the GO button.
At the completion of this procedure, all of the lines are clear of fluids.
