RAM IC

Connector side of circuit card

To install the RAM IC onto the circuit board:

1.

 

Remove the existing RAM IC and replace it with that of the appropriate memory
size (Figure 234). Carefully remove it by inserting a flathead screwdriver between
the RAM IC and the connection site.

2.

 

Gently pry the RAM IC from its’ connection base until it begins to loosen, at
which point you can pull it out.

3.

 

Using the new RAM IC, match up the socket holes to their prongs, then insert
them until they are firmly resting in the base.

4.

 

Rotate the circuit card back to the original position and place it in the touch panel
housing. Align the screw hole and insert the Phillips-head screw and tighten.

5.

 

Place the bottom panel onto the touch panel and align the screw holes. Insert the
seven Phillips-head screws and tighten.

6.

 

Plug all connectors back into the touch panel.

7.

 

Once you have completed the replacements, reconnect the power to the touch
panel and begin the page download procedures as described in Using TPDesign3
to Convert the File subsection.
