5.
Reinstall lamp as follows:
a. Grasp lamp by its ceramic base and plug into lampholder (do not touch
glass portion of lamp).
b. Check that lamp is firmly seated in its socket. If not, remove lamp and
bend socket tabs slightly.
6.
Align lampholder assembly plug with receptacle in lighthead and snap
lampholder assembly back into position.
NOTE:
Proper braking friction is only that amount required to hold lighthead in
a set position without drifting. Additional friction increases wear on brake lining
and can cause noisy operation.

Check lighthead movement for the following conditions:
a. Lighthead does not drift when placed in a set position.
b. Excessive force (10 lbs [4.5 kg] or more as measured at sterile handle)
is not required to move lighthead.

If adjustment is necessary, contact qualified service representative.

Check that floor stand casters are not bent or cracked and move freely;
replace if necessary.

Check that support tube fastening bolt is tight; tighten to 40-50 lbs/ft
(59.5-74.4 kgs/m) torque if necessary.

Check power cord and plug for any damage; have qualified service
representative repair if necessary.
