1. INTRODUCTION

Enclosure Attachment Screws

These three screws attach the rear enclosure to the mounting bracket.

Internal Fan

This hot swappable fan (Section 5.2) controls the UPS's internal temperature for
optimum performance.

Battery Pack Attachment Screw

This screw secures the battery pack to the shelf.

Inverter Input Connector

This connects the transformer's output to the inverter.

Transformer Line Power Connection

This connects line power to the transformer's input.

Battery Terminals

The batteries are connected in series.

Conduits

These three,

inch conduits connect the UPS to the loads, line power and, if

used, to the external alarm panel.

Conduit or armoured cable is used.

They can be replaced by

inch conduits (which are not provided by Alpha

Technologies) by removing the conduits and the knockouts surrounding each
hole (Section 2.4).
