OPERATION
3.2 Starting and Testing the UPS
NOTE: Before starting, compare the nameplates of the UPS and the
load(s) to make sure they do not draw more power than the UPS provides.
Procedure
STEP 1: Before Starting, turn OFF:
•
All loads.
•
The battery circuit breaker.
•
The input circuit breaker.
•
The output circuit breaker.
•
The line power circuit breaker.
STEP 3: Test the UPS
Turn OFF the input circuit breaker.
This tests the UPS's ability to transfer to battery
power. The On Battery LED turns ON.
Turn ON the input circuit breaker.
The On Line LED turns ON.

PURPOSE: Describes how to start and test the UPS after
installation or maintenance.
STEP 2: Start the UPS
(1250T Model Shown, P1250 is the same)
Turn ON the battery circuit breaker.
The LEDs sequentially flash (Section 3.6.6).
Turn ON the input circuit breaker on the terminal
block.
Turn ON the line power circuit breaker.
If line voltage and frequency is within specifications,
the On Line LED turns ON, the UPS is running on line
power.
