OPERATION

3.1 Operating Modes Quick Reference Guide

PURPOSE: Briefly describes the UPS's operating modes.

NOTE: This is a quick reference only. Detailed information is presented in the rest

of Section 3.

ON LINE:

The normal operating mode. Line power

is provided to the loads, the batteries

are charging and the UPS is ready to

provide backup power (Section 3.6.1).

ON BATTERY:

The UPS automatically switches into

this mode when line voltage is outside

preset values or the Manual Start button

is pressed when it is in Standby mode

(Section 3.6.1).

BOOST:

The UPS automatically switches into

this mode when line voltage drops

below a preset limit (Section 3.6.1).

STANDBY:

The LEDs are sequentially flashing.

The UPS is not providing power to the

loads, but its electronics are active

(Section 3.6.6).

LEGEND:

LED ON

The UPS's current operating mode is automatically shown on the
Display and Control Panel's LEDs.
