Guidelines
Here are additional guidelines:
The base 10Gbps transceiver slots and AT-XEM2-12XS Line Card
support 1Gbps transceivers. However, stack trunks do not support
1Gbps transceivers.
Trunk links must be direct connections between ports on the
switches, without any intervening network devices, such as media
converters, routers, or other Ethernet switches. Figure 36 is an
example of an invalid trunk because it contains media converters.
