PowerFlex 527 Integrated Safe Torque-Off

This chapter introduces you to how the PowerFlex® 527 integrated safe torque-off
feature meets the requirements of Performance Level e (PLe), Category 3
according to EN ISO 13849, and SIL CL3 according to IEC 61508,
EN 61800-5-2, and EN 62061.

Certification

The TÜV Rheinland group has approved PowerFlex 527 drives with integrated
safe torque-off for use in safety-related applications up to PLe, Category 3
according to EN ISO 13849, and SIL CL3 according to IEC 61508, EN 61800-
5-2, and EN 62061, in which removing the motion-producing power is
considered to be the safe state
