Installing the Open Controller CPU Module

Inserting the Module

Place the open controller CPU module in the far-left slot of a 1746 chassis.

If you will be using any of the open controller option modules, the PCI
expansion bus must already be installed. For more information, see the 1747
Open Controller PCI Expansion Bus Installation Instructions, publication
1747-5.16.

For information about installing an open controller system, see the Open
Controller System Quick Start, publications 1747-10.3 (1747-OCE) or
1747-10.6 (1747-OCF).

Refer to "Handling the 1747-BA Battery" on page C-1 for information
about handling and storing the 1747-BA lithium battery.
