6. On the remote PC, at the C:\DOS prompt, type:
interlnk
7. On the PC, insert the Windows NT Workstation 4.0 installation CD into
the CD-ROM drive.
8. On the PC, note which drive is mapped to the C:\ drive of the open
controller (server). Copy the Windows NT i386 directory from the PC to
the C:\ drive of the open controller by typing:
xcopy H: \i386\*.* /s F: \i386
where:
H: is the CD-ROM drive and F: is the drive mapped to the C: drive on
the open controller.
9. The i386 is a directory on the target. Type:
D
(you do not need to press
[enter]
). The file transfer could take up to 40 minutes.
10. When the transfer is complete, press
[Alt-F4]
on the open controller
to exit
intersvr
.
Loading NT setup from the i386 directory on the IDE hard drive
1. On the open controller, at the
c:\i386
prompt type:
winnt /b /s:c:\i386
Windows NT workstation setup will copy files from the i386 directory
on the open controller hard drive. This will take approximately 20
minutes.
2. When the MS-DOS portion of this setup is complete, press
[enter]
to
restart the open controller.
This transfer does not load NT, but transfers the i386 directory so that
you can later load NT directly from the open controller hard drive
rather than from a CD.
